To have a safe, efficient arrival and dismissal, it is important that all families adhere to the following procedures:
Morning Arrival:
Upon entering our campus, please drive slowly and do not pass cars into the other lane for any reason.
Cars enter in a single line and split to a double lane at the point indicated on the map above.
We have double lane, drop-off down the entire sidewalk as indicated by the grey bar on the map above.
If you are at the front of the line, pull all the way to the employee holding the STOP sign near the end of the sidewalk.
All other cars should follow by pulling as far forward in the driveway as possible before stopping to let children out.
Once all cars stop movement. Our staff members will signal for students to exit their cars.
Adults stay in stopped cars as all students exit from their respective car.
Please have your child ready to exit independently with all belongings when the car stops.
All children should exit on the passenger side of the vehicle
Children need to be able to open and close the car door independently.
For our younger students, we recommend practicing at home
Once all students have cleared and are on the sidewalk our staff members will change the hand-held stop sign to GO and motion for the first car in line to roll.
Follow the car ahead of you until the point the two lanes merge back to one. Please take turns rolling back into one traffic lane. For the safety of our staff no passing please.
Please remember, it is unsafe and illegal to be utilizing a cell phone to talk or text while driving (unless hands free)
Afternoon Dismissal:
Note: Our Car Rider lanes are reserved for Pre-K only dismissal begins at 1:30 p.m. K-5 Car Rider family please respect this designated Pre-K only time by not arriving to line up for dismissal prior to 2:00 p.m.
The tone noting the end of our school day sounds at 2:50 p.m. (classes begin preparations to depart at 2:45 p.m.)
We have two lane, group dismissal in the afternoon.
Drive slowly as you enter campus. Once the split to two lanes, do not pass into the opposite lane for any reason.
If you are at the front of the line, pull all the way to the employee holding the STOP sign near the end of the sidewalk.
Pull as far as possible to the car in front of you.
Place the car rider tag on your mirror or dashboard of your car. Our car rider team must be able to see your tag in order to call for students using radios.
A staff member will check to make sure that every child is safely in their car.
We do this by:
Making eye contact with driver and giving a thumbs up
Return thumbs up means that all children are safely in car and ready for dismissal.
Thumbs down means a child is still in process of buckling up and NOT ready for cars to roll.
Please pay close attention to staff member directions, the hand-held stop sign change to GO and the car in front of you.
The line merges back into a single line once past the staff member with the handheld stop sign.
We want every child and vehicle to be safely and efficiently dismissed.
